In 2009 there were only male characters with text. Right now 60% of the characters are embodied by men and 40% by women.

Juan de Austria: Leader of the Christian League made up of the Pontifical State, Venice and Spain.

Alí Baja: Leader of the Turkish squad.

Miguel de Cervantes:
Narrator. The author of Don Quixote de La Mancha participated in the battle of Lepanto where he lost his arm, hence the nickname of Lepanto manco.

Felipe II: King of Spain between 1556 and 1598.

Pope Pius V: Lord of the papal states between 1566 and 1572.

María La Bailaora:
Malaga woman who participated in the battle of Lepanto.

Inés de Castilla: In 1615 he applied for the license of the Hermitage of Our Lady of the Rosary in the War Valley.

Catalina de Salazar: wife of Cervantes.

Andrea and Magdalena: sisters of Cervantes.
